Human Resource Associate

Job Purpose:

The Human Resources Associate is a full-time position providing general administrative support for the Marken global human resources team. This position is located at our RDU (Raleigh-Durham) office and will support the Human Resources needs of our locations throughout the NORAM/LATAM regions. This position requires the ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, who is always able to always exercise good judgment and solid decision-making skills. They should be able to competently recognize when issues require escalation. This individual must be extremely organized and able to effectively prioritize and multi-task. Having a strong customer service attitude and mentality is critical in this role, as is the ability to effectively contribute within a dynamic team environment. As this position has access to confidential data on a daily basis, this position also requires extreme discretion.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support general benefits administration.
  • Maintain in-house leave administration process.
  • Maintain HR information and manage relevant employee processes in the HRIS system, ensuring information is entered timely and accurately.
  • Provide guidance and support on day-to-day general employee relations issues escalating more complex issues to a member of HR management and/or legal as appropriate.
  • Perform new hire on-boarding including conducting new hire orientation for both local and remote employees.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR programs and company-wide policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Create and maintain HR forms and documents (Adobe, Word, etc.).
  • Maintain current HR files and databases (updating and maintaining employee benefits, employment status, and similar records).
  • Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
  • Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exit interviews.
  • Support HR project initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of human resources and applicable labor laws
  • HR Certification preferred.(SHRM, PHR)
  • Prior experience with benefits and leave administration.
  • Experience acting as the first line of contact for employee benefit and other HR related questions.
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft products, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience desired.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to adapt communication style to different audience members.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timely processing.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally.
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
